Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has called for stronger international sanctions against Russia following another large-scale overnight attack that struck Kyiv and several other regions across Ukraine.

In Kharkiv, Ukrainian emergency services continue to eliminate the consequences of a Russian drone attack. Sadly, the death toll has risen: rescuers recovered the body of a woman from the rubble. In total, five people were killed, including two children — a 1.5-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy.

A devastating ruSSian airstrike on a residential apartment building in Kharkiv has left tragic consequences in its wake. Authorities have confirmed the death of a 12-year-old boy, with an additional 36 individuals sustaining injuries of varying degrees. The rescue and emergency response teams have been deployed on-site and continue their work, aided by 37 rescue personnel and nine pieces of specialized equipment.

Tonight, the enemy once again attacked Kharkiv, for which he used several waves of "shaheds".

As a result of enemy strikes, residential buildings of civilians at various addresses were damaged. A resident died, there are injured. Fires broke out at the landing sites.

🔹On August 17, at 21:40, the State Emergency Service received information that in the city of Kharkiv, as a result of enemy shelling, a rocket hit a three-story residential building.

🔹 At 23.38 the fire was contained. Extinguishing of fire stations and rescuing people from the rubble continues.
