In Kharkiv, Ukrainian emergency services continue to eliminate the consequences of a Russian drone attack. Sadly, the death toll has risen: rescuers recovered the body of a woman from the rubble. In total, five people were killed, including two children — a 1.5-year-old girl and a 16-year-old boy.
Injured and Rescued
According to preliminary reports, 20 people were injured, among them six children. Thanks to the swift actions of rescuers, two people — a man and a woman — were pulled alive from the debris.
Ongoing Rescue Efforts
Emergency operations and firefighting are still underway. Around 140 rescuers and 39 units of equipment, including heavy engineering and specialized machinery, are involved at the site. Pyrotechnic teams, dog units, and psychologists from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine (SESU) are also engaged.

This was an absolutely demonstrative and cynical russian strike. They know that today in Washington there is a meeting on ending the war.

Everyone wants a just peace and real security. And at this very moment, russia strikes Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy region, Odesa — hitting residential buildings and our civilian infrastructure.
This is deliberate killing by russia — the killing of people, the killing of children. Due to the drone strike on Kharkiv, there are now seven confirmed dead, the youngest a 1.5-year-old girl, and dozens injured, including children.
In Zaporizhzhia, russian missile strikes on the city left 20 injured and three dead. My condolences to all the families and loved ones of the victims.
There was also a deliberate strike on an energy facility in Odesa belonging to an Azerbaijani company. This is not only an attack on Ukraine’s energy independence, but also on our international relations.
The russian war machine continues destroying lives. Putin will demonstratively kill to pressure Ukraine, Europe, and to humiliate diplomatic efforts. That is why we urgently need help to stop the killings. That is why reliable security guarantees are necessary. And that is why russia must not receive any reward for this war.
The war must be ended. And it is Moscow that must hear the word “stop.”
